ROCKDEEP est. 2013,
The company began as an idea like many other start up companies. However the owner Rocky Parrish decided to take an idea from concept to execution.
After a successful KickStarter campaign the owner Rocky Parrish decided to pursue expanding his offerings. After working with several factories, he developed a relationship with a particular one.
Ruixing a Chinese company developed a line called RAX at their factory. The line was crunchy and traditional at best. However there were tons of shoes like it on the market domestically and internationally.
Rocky offered to work with them on their designs procuring a percentage of the business. While his sales flourished of the hand picked designs he worked on, RUIXING was near its end. So using his keen business acumen he offered to buy the rights to the RAX line and name and then contracted the factory to make his designs.
RAX then became an official ROCKDEEP product line being the outdoor arm of the company.
After building his capital used from sales internationally and online domestically ROCKDEEP is able to expand it's ALPHA and HUNTSMAN line. ALPHA being the pure athletic line and HUNTSMAN being the outdoorsman line.
ROCKDEEP is careful not to spread itself thin by opening itself to too many types of product lines as he's seen others in the industry attempt to do and fail at.
ROCKDEEP is not solely dedicated to selling footwear and apparel, but providing sincere customer service and an experience. Our main goal is to provide quality, functional, stylish products at an affordable price point.
It was always the CEO's intention to provide product's on both the website and app for under $100. As pricing increased globally at factories and inflation rose, he was forced to increase pricing, but has maintained competitive pricing as well as high quality products.
Some still remaining sub $100
The CEO himself could not afford high priced footwear and apparel growing up and refused to sell such back to his and other communities like the one he's come from.
In late 2021 he realized he was missing out on a large buying segment which wanted super luxury item's at a premium price point and decided to create the brand OPULENCE.
After needing to close the four brick and mortar stores due to the pandemic ROCKDEEP went 100% online. At some point in the future ROCKDEEP will reopen at least one store expand beyond the Washington, DC area.
ROCKDEEP is working to expand the business globally with franchises which will give those everyday people just like the CEO the opportunity to have ownership. This will afford them not only ownership but the opportunity to also give back to their surrounding communities.
The next phase will be building footwear & apparel factories in underserved areas across America.
For ROCKDEEP - giving back is not an option...it's an obligation.
